Michael Nyman

Another very different picture of what I usually do, but can you blame me? Michael Nyman is one of the greatest alive music compositors around, he made the music from "The Piano" as well as many of Peter Greenaway films, and "the Libertine" and so much more. He contacted me and we arranged a meet up for lunch, I took some snapshots of him at his place, and we will do a proper shoot sometime soon more artistic :) I cant wait! if you dont know his music (or probably Im sure you heard it before and just didnt know the author!) go to his site and get some of it :)

Not my typical dark art work, but I like to show that I can shoot a lot more themes/subjects instead of just doing more of the same again and again. Peter contacted me because he wanted an unusual portrait of himself, so I had him on my studio and we did some shots, Im quite pleased with the outcome and the chance to work with someone outside the scene I been working for on the last years. Lighting was done with coloured gels and gobos shapes.

Recently I shoot Millicent Binks for the paysite and for Fairygothmother, this pic was from one of the portraits I took while posing for Fairygothmother, I thought she looked so fresh and beautiful its one of my faves from the shoot. You can see quite a few others on the new designs section at Fairygothmother. Makeup was by me, I think Im now good enough to do all my models makeup *grin*

I will be contributing to an erotic pay website soon, wich means I will have paid work available for selected beautiful and fit models, if you wanted to shoot with me before and are up for it, we can negociate it.

If you are a model traveling to the UK keep me updated so we can arrange something in the future, it will be only classy and beautiful pictures but they will be erotic too, it goes without saying that they will be involving nudity.

Photography site now Updated

Commisions have kept me off updating this site as it deserved and now after a year and a half I decided to update it with some of the work I have done, I travelled through europe and I done lots of interesting shoots with my favourite bands and clothing companies, that, and a lot more you can find it in the galleries.

Because Im rubbish at updating my own sites I have taken out the “model of the month” article, and left it as a feature section for any new stuff I do, a new Live section in the gallery has been added with the work I done for awesome bands such as Venom and My Dying Bride.

From now on this is gonna be my Art related journal, here I will be posting my work behind the camera, my digital art work (CD/DVD art), webdesign work and much more while it happens, all entries here will be public. If you are interested in my modeling work as well or I know you personally then add me at threnodynvelvet.

I know I take ages in updating my websites properly, and I have done so much since I updated my art/photography sites last, so expect to see lots of material you havent seen before :) my last work being the photography, styling, design and some of the modeling on the brand new website for Madame Khufu, with the help of my beautiful models Xine, ulorin_vex and _inspira.

The theme I was going for is of decadent ancient goddesses, mixed with fashion with a painting quality to them, the scenography is real, done at my home-studio, the dark gothic-georgian wall was done by my partner, wich I reckon did a marvellous job. The Chaise lounge and the dressing screen were also bought for this photoshoot, and now remain covered away from naughty kitty claws :) click on the banner to check all the images of the shoot and get some wonderful masks!
